BOTOX® Cosmetic

BOTOX® Cosmetic is commonly used to reduce or eliminate the appearance of facial wrinkles. It is injected under the skin into areas surrounding the eyes and forehead to smooth crow's feet and eliminate frown and worry lines. Made from purified protein, BOTOX® Cosmetic relaxes wrinkles and gives the face a rejuvenated look. BOTOX® may also be useful for migraine headaches, excessive sweating, and eye and neck muscle spasms.

You can expect to see results within days after your treatment. The appearance of the area between your brows may continue to improve for up to a week. Visible results have been shown to last up to four months, and after that you may be ready to return for a follow-up treatment. When you consider the difference it can make in the appearance of the moderate to severe frown lines between your brows, you may find BOTOX® Cosmetic to be a great way to invest in yourself.

JUVÉDERM® Injectable Gel

Touted as the "next generation" of facial fillers, JUVÉDERM® injectable gels gently smooth wrinkles and folds around the mouth and nose and restore a youthful volume to the face. Made with hyaluronic acid, a natural substance found in the body that works with collagen and elastin to provide volume and support to the skin, JUVÉDERM® is especially effective on smile lines and "parentheses" (nasolabial folds) that run from the bottom of the nose to the sides of the mouth. Restylane®

Restylane® is designed to smooth wrinkles, sculpt lips and shape facial contours. It is a clear, synthetic gel made with hyaluronic acid, a natural substance that is found throughout your body. It carries little risk of allergic reaction. The most common areas for treatment are the glabellar lines (between the eyebrows) and the nasolabial folds (from the root of the nose to the angle of your mouth). With its unique ability to bind with water, Restylane remains in your skin for many months.

Obagi® is a brand of skin care products designed to develop and maintain healthy skin through an advanced line of cleansers, toners, eye creams, sunscreens, serums and other beneficial products. We offer two different Obagi systems, each designed for different skin types.

BioMedic - La Roche-Posay Skin Care

BioMedic - La Roche-Posay Skin Care is a complete skin care program for men and women that combines in-office exfoliation treatments with home care products. BioMedic improves the appearance of aging skin, sun damage, uneven pigmentation and acne. It provides clear, smooth skin with an even tone and uniform color. First, a skin evaluation will determine your skin type and which products are right for you. Then you will undergo treatments once or twice a month. Results should be visible after the first treatment.

BioMedic Chemical Peels

BioMedic MicroPeel®
The BioMedic MicroPeel is a three-step process that utilizes the revitalizing qualities of a glycolic acid chemical peel to improve the overall appearance and health of the skin. During the procedure, the top layer of clogged pores is removed, dead skin cells are removed and a mild chemical peel is applied to the skin to help reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and acne-related conditions.

This procedure takes less than 15 minutes to perform and requires no downtime. The results of this procedure are noticeable right away in many patients. For maximum results, we recommend seeking treatment with a series of peels to help sustain the health and appearance of the skin.

After the peel is performed in Dr. Austin's office, patients can also use the BioMedic line of home products to maintain the youthful results in between treatment. These products can also be used without having a MicroPeel, but results will be slower and less dramatic.

BioMedic MicroPeel Plus®
The BioMedic MicroPeel Plus uses salicylic acid to improve the health and appearance of the skin by targeting dark spots, enlarged pores and acne scars. This procedure helps shed dead skin cells on the surface of the skin, stimulating the production of new skin cells underneath. The MicroPeel Plus procedure takes 30 minutes to perform in Dr. Austin's office, with results visible immediately after treatment.

This procedure is effective for all skin types, although the results of the procedure may vary depending on the individual condition of each patient's skin. Most patients notice significant improvement to the appearance of acne scars and environmental damage on the skin.

Most patients achieve their desired results from the MicroPeel Plus procedure after a series of six treatments spaced four to six weeks apart. Similar results can be achieved with BioMedic home products, although results will take longer to appear and are often not as dramatic as the procedure.

LATISSE™

Full, natural-looking eyelashes can now be achieved through a prescription treatment called LATISSE™. LATISSE™ is the first and only eyelash treatment approved by the FDA to help grow longer, fuller and darker eyelashes and treat hypotrichosis, a condition that includes having inadequate or not enough eyelashes.

This prescription medication is applied topically to the base of the eyelashes once a day, after makeup and contact lenses have been removed and any other skincare products have already been applied. While it does not replace mascara, LATISSE™ offers an attractive complement to help further enhance full, long and beautiful lashes. The results of LATISSE™ are visible after 4 weeks, with full results appearing after 16 weeks.
